Commercial Services
Steffl Drilling & Pump is bonded and licensed in Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Our staff is experienced in a wide range of drilling including municipal, environmental, industrial, irrigation, monitoring, and cathodic protection. Steffl Drilling has installed wells ranging from 1 1/4" to 24" wells and wells that produce up to 1200 gpm. Staff members are certified by the National Ground Water Association and have designed water systems for golf courses, farms, ethanol plants and other industrial applications. If an engineer has designed your system, we will work closely with you to complete your system as planned.

- Cathodic Protection
CATHODIC PROTECTION: This process involves drilling bore holes and then placing anodes with coke breeze in the well to protect metal from corrosion.
- Geothermal Systems
GEOTHERMAL SYSTEMS: Geothermal energy is a renewable energy source. Steffl Drilling & Pump has a staff certified by IGSPHA in the installation of ground source heat loops that capture the earth's thermo capacity.
- Irrigation Systems
IRRIGATION SYSTEMS: High capacity wells for irrigating crop land, golf courses, or landscapes are designed to your specifications.
The drilling process includes drilling and then testing of the aquifer to determine the most efficient pump
for your needs
- Horizontal Boring
HORIZONTAL BORING: Horizontal boring is a method of boring underground without disturbing the ground surface. This is an excellent
way to install waterlines on existing sites with buildings, driveways, sidewalks, and landscaping without disturbing
the structures.
- Pump System maintenance
PUMP SYSTEM MAINTENANCE: Servicing of high capacity pumps is recommended every five years to ensure smooth, safe operation of the
water well. Our service technicians are trained in maintenance of all types of high capacity pumps: submersible,
turbine, and variable frequency drives. They are also able to do maintenance on line shaft, oil lube,
and other turbine pumps.
- Industrial Wells
INDUSTRIAL WELLS: Commercial use wells used in industrial applications such as ethanol plants, manufacturing, gravel mining,
and concrete plants. These applications require large wells and high capacity pumps.
|
- Monitoring Wells
MONITORING WELLS: These wells are small in diameter and are used for monitoring ground water quality, levels and possible contaminants. Monitoring wells are normally found near land fills, petroleum depots, and some wastewater plants.
- Down Hole Televising
DOWN HOLE TELEVISING: The use of downhole camera technology can trouble shoot problems without lengthy disruption to service.
- Municipal Wells
MUNICIPAL WELLS: Steffl Drilling & Pump Inc. has 35+ years experience in the installation of high capacity public and community water supplies. Click here to find your town on the list of wells completed by Steffl Drilling & Pump

DEWATERING WELLS: This type of well is used to lower water tables for installation of subsurface structures such as sewer lines.
- Aquifer & Pumping Tests
AQIFER & PUMPING TESTS: Results from pumping tests are used in determining groundwater availability and well capacity. This process is
valuable in assuring long term capacity and adequate water production.
- Piezometers
PIEZOMETERS: This type of well is used in monitoring water levels and determining groundwater flow.
